I purchased the Purl Soho Winter Wreath Kit a couple of years ago as a gift for Kim, but we had not started it because the amount of tracing and cutting to get all the parts prepared was daunting. While we craft together, each working in the craft room in our respective areas of interest (me – 3D printing, design, bookbinding, printmaking. Kim – cross-stitch, needle crafts, quilting, painting ceramics), I am the cutting guy. I cut out the fabric pieces for her, and I was a blocker. While I looked forward to her starting this project, I did not want to do the cutting and neither did she. So there the box sat, for two years, until I thought that maybe I could use our Cricut Maker.
After some research and testing, I determined that I could use the Cricut to cut out all the peices (over 100). There were several challenges to address – digitizing the templates, converting to work with Cricut, organizing the templates to fit the Cricut and fit the supplied felt sheets.
