Pencil Sharpener Holder – updated

I love my Mobius & Ruppert Grenade brass pencil sharpener but I hate that it doesn’t have a container to collect shavings.

To solve that problem,I designed a holder which I 3D resin printed and then installed in a 3D filament printed screw top container.

Updated Design (June 2026):

Recently I was contacted about my original design and I was prompted to make some edits. I redesigned the container with the following changes:

• Reduced container size slightly for better fit in the hand
• Improved alignment of cap holes to make insertion of 2mm screws easier
• Created a new sharpener holder that is PETG, not resin and PLA
• Adjusted print parameters for increased strength
• Created a second version with the sharpener holder integrated into the cap. This version allows the user to remove the sharpener at any time without having to unscrew the holder.

While the sharpener holder is my original design, the initial screwtop container is a modified version of the parametric screw-top container PSTC from printables.com which was modified to size in Fusion.
